  • Can aquarium glass be recycled?

    It depends. Contact your local council or recycling centre to find out more.

  • Does aquarium glass shatter?

    Aquariums can shatter when struck. It's extremely unlikely for them to break under any other circumstances – especially if you invest in high-quality materials.

  • Is aquarium glass tempered?

    Aquariums are built in different ways but you'll often find that the base is made from tempered (also known as "toughened") glass.

  • Why is my aquarium glass cloudy?

    Some fish owners find that over time their aquariums go cloudy, brown or green. There are several possible causes for this. It could be that you need a new or additional filter, that too much light is entering the tank or that you're overfeeding or overstocking the fish.


  • Can aquarium glass be cut?

    Annealed aquarium or vivarium glass can be cut. Toughened glass cannot be cut.
