Digital printing options

Have virtually any image printed onto your LED glass. Incorporate solid or partial vision effects into a design that won't fade, crack or scratch.


Ceramic inks are applied to the glass and then fired in a furnace. This "traps" the image, ensuring that it lasts as long as the glass itself.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is LED glass and how does it work?

    LED glass is illuminated glass used in walls, panels, doors and more.


    We use Spanlite's edge-lit glass system to incorporate LEDs into digitally printed glass. Your design is "fired in" to the glass during the toughening process. It's then edge-lit from the top and bottom horizontal edges.


    The nature of the manufacturing process means that the ceramic ink is pretty much indestructible – your glass LED lights won't fade, scratch or crack.

  • Are LED lights energy-efficient?

    LED lights are up to 80% more efficient than fluorescent bulbs. This is because they convert around 95% of their energy into light.

  • How big can illuminated glass panels be?

    At ToughGlaze, we make LED glass panels up to 1200 x 3600 millimetres. Spanlite technology is then used to illuminate them up to 2.7 metres in height (or 3.5 metres if using two light sources).

  • Can LED glass be digitally printed?

    Yes – you can print your lit glass with pretty much any design thanks to Dip-Tech's digital printing solutions.
